What are my rights?With me you always have the right to say: yes, no, maybe, pass, I don’t understand, I don’t know, that won’t work; and you have the right to know the limits to the privacy I can offer you.

How can working together support me?As your therapist, I provide a compassionate and collaborative space to explore your intentions and challenges. My goal is to help you access your inner wisdom, strengths, resources, and values to navigate life’s complexities.

What alternatives do I have?It is important to me that I am the right fit for you. If that is not the case I value the opportunity to provide you options to explore at your discretion that might open up alternative pathways for you.

Are sessions available virtually or in person?I offer both Telehealth (video or phone) and in-person sessions.

What if I need to wait to start therapy?I may have a waitlist. At what point am I officially a client?You officially become a client after you have completed the full consent process, which is usually by the second counselling session. You remain a client until 3 months after our last contact.

What do I need to know about informed consent?My consent process is attuned to what information you are ready to receive when, and therefore unfolds in segments. Typically you have all the information you need to decide whether to hire me as your therapist by the end of the first counselling session.

What is your fee?My fee is $180 per 50-minute counselling session. Fees for couples counselling are the same.

Are your services covered by insurance?Many extended health benefit plans cover services provided by a Registered Social Worker. Please verify with your provider in advance. Please note I am registered in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta.

Do you offer direct billing?I do not offer direct billing. Payments can be made by credit card or e-transfer, and receipts are provided for insurance or tax purposes.
